Embassy Trains Operatives, Donates Cars to Anti-Trafficking Center

Twenty five Moldovan law enforcement officers attended a US-sponsored Interview and Source Development Training Program, designed for assist Moldova in fighting human trafficking. The training program was conducted by officers of the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation from January 21 to 25, and is the first in a series of U.S. Government-sponsored training programs for the Center for Combating Trafficking in Persons.
Kelly Keiderling, the Deputy Chief of Mission of the U.S. Embassy, spoke at the graduation ceremony of the training program, at which the Embassy donated four automobiles and other equipment to the Center for Combating Trafficking in Persons. In accordance with a US-Moldovan Drug Control and Law Enforcement Agreement, this is the first in a series of donations to the Anti-Trafficking Center to include additional vehicles and specialized police equipment.
