American Music in Moldova conquers Tiraspol for the second time

Over 600 music lovers attended the second concert of the series “American Music in Moldova” at the Tiraspol Republican Palace in Transnistria on Sunday, February 10. The Tiraspol Philharmonic Orchestra, led by its conductor Grigorii Moseico, performed the works of American composers George Gershwin, Leonard Bernstein, Scott Joplin, and William Handy. The concert featured local piano and violin soloist delighting the full capacity audience. Two more concerts are planed in Tiraspol and three more in Chisinau in the “American Music in Moldova” series, highlighting more American composers. The concert series is funded by a grant from the U.S. Embassy in Chisinau and realized in collaboration with the National Philharmonic Orchestras in Chisinau and Tiraspol.
