 Deputy PAO Elitzabeth Lewis presents US Embassy Stand at International Children's Book Fair
The U.S. Embassy was once again actively involved in the International Children's Book Fair organized under the leadership of the Moldovan National Library for Children.  This year the Embassy in among the sponsors of the event. It also participated to the book exhibit with a great selection of children's books, which are available at the American Corners.  American Corners serve as regional resource centers for information and programs highlighting American culture, history, current events, and government. Currently there are three American Corners in Moldova--in Balti, Ceadir Lunga, and Ungheni.  

The embassy has also invited Janet Castelpietra, an American librarian and library manager, to hold a workshop for Moldovan librarians and information specialists.  The workshop will cover the reference services offered in American Libraries.
