U.S. Provides Additional $1,451,164 to Support Rule of Law in Moldova
On Tuesday, September 22, U.S. Ambassador Asif Chaudhry and Moldova's Acting President Mihai Ghimpu signed an amendment to the "Letter of Agreement on Narcotics Control and Law Enforcement" between the Government of the United States of America and the Government of Moldova. The amendment, which was signed in a ceremony at the Presidential Residence Building, provides for $1,451,164 in additional funding as part of ongoing United States' assistance for rule of law development in Moldova, with particular emphasis on combating corruption, trafficking in persons, and organized crime.
