US officially turns over donated hospital equipment to Moldova

On September 25, U.S. Ambassador Asif Chaudhry and the Moldovan Vice Premier Victor Stepaniuc signed a document officially turning over medical equipment and supplies worth $21.7 million.  The equipment and supplies were donated by the U.S. Government to various Moldovan medical institutions within the Operation Provide Hope program. Ambassador Chaudhry touted this project as an excellent example of the very fruitful collaboration between the Moldovan and American governments and people.  The officials and the media attending the event visited the Republican Children Hospital "Emilian Cotaga" to view the equipment donated to this medical institution where they are being already used in the operating rooms of the hospital.
