 Ambassador Kirby visits School Nr.3
On Nov. 14th U.S. Ambassador Michael Kirby visited school #3 in Chisinau to help kick off a week-long dental treatment and vaccination program.  A total of 233 students received dental treatments and 52 students were vaccinated at the event.

Through the program, children in 32 boarding schools and orphanages across Moldova will receive free dental treatments and vaccinations.  The event is being implemented through the North Carolina-Moldova State Partnership.  A total of 6,200 children will receive fluoride treatments, more than 2,050 children will be vaccinated against chickenpox, and 1,500 will get shots for Hepatitis-A.  The humanitarian project is financed through the U.S. European Command’s Humanitarian and Civic Assistance program and is overseen by the Bilateral Affairs Office (BAO) of the U.S. Embassy in Chisinau, while some funding comes from donations raised through the North Carolina-Moldova State Partnership Program.
