AMB Chaudhry honors American charity workers

Ambassador Asif Chaudhry hosted a reception to honor twenty Americans who are in Moldova to ensure that Moldovan orphans have the means to keep warm this winter.  The Americans are all here to work with Children's Emergency Relief International (CERI) to distribute boots, socks, hats, gloves and scarves to every orphan and state school resident in Moldova.  By the time they leave Moldova, they will have given out over a total of 12,000 pairs of boots and 40,000 pairs of socks. This is the fifth trip by the group to Moldova to distribute winter boots and clothes, although CERI also provides many on-going services in support of Moldovan orphans, elderly and struggling families.
