U.S. Government donates vehicles and a computer system to the Moldovan Interior Ministry

Ambassador Kirby announces vehicles and computer systems donations

A U.S. Government donation of five vehicles and a specialized computer system to the Moldovan Ministry of Interior will help Moldova in its fight against domestic and transnational organized criminal activity that involves money laundering, financial crimes, terrorist financing and  economic crimes that involve the Internet. 

U.S. Ambassador Michael D. Kirby announced this donation during the Moldova National Police Day ceremony on December 18, 2006.

This equipment is donated to the following Ministry of Internal Affairs offices: the Department of Operative Services, the Department of Transborder and Information Crime, the General Commissariat Police of Chisinau and the Department of Internal Security.
