Ambassador Attends Moldovan National Police Day Event, Donates Five Vehicles to Moldovan Interior Ministry

At a ceremony marking Moldova’s National Police Day on December 18, 2007, Ambassador Michael D. Kirby announced that the US Government was donating five vehicles to the Moldovan Ministry of Interior.

According to the Ambassador, the five Chevrolets are being donated to the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Department of Operative Services and are intended to assist the Government of Moldova in its fight against domestic and transnational organized criminal activity. 

Ambassador Kirby thanked the Moldovan police for their cooperation in investigating cases of interest for the American law enforcement, and reiterated that the US Government remains committed to providing assistance in the area of law enforcement capacity development to Moldova.
