Embassy Donates Clothes, Toys and Supplies to Orhei Boarding School

Ambassador Michael Kirby and helped donate clothes and gifts to over 320 children at a festive Christmas ceremony at the Orhei Boarding School for Children with Mental and Physical Disabilities on December 20, 2007.

The effort to collect money and donations was coordinated by the Bilateral Affairs Office (BAO) of the US Embassy, and includes contributions from the Embassy staff and the American community in Moldova, as well as donations from the Goldsboro North Carolina Rotary Club and the New Beginnings Sunday School Class of White Plains United Methodist Church in Raleigh, NC. The donation, worth approximately 4,000 dollars, includes electric razors, disposable diapers, toys and donated clothes.
