UPDATE: Applications Not Accepted From Selected SWT Recruiting Companies

According to the Summer Work and Travel Program regulations, only bona fide students on their summer vacations may participate in the SWT Program.  The program's regulations try to minimize conflict with university studies.   According to guidance received from the Ministry of Education, last year's SWT participants should have returned to classes by September 17.

Applicants who applied for visas through certain companies in 2007 had a significantly lower rate of on-time return compared to those employing other companies.  To improve compliance with SWT Program regulations and U.S. immigration law, the U.S. Embassy will not accept visa applications for this year's SWT Program from companies that had the lowest on-time return rates in 2007, listed below and identified with the contact information they provided the U.S. Embassy:
