U.S. Embassy announces an opportunity for Roma people

04/21/09
In recognition of International Roma Day and the importance of the Roma community in Moldova, the U.S. Embassy to Moldova has developed a program designed to support Roma efforts to develop the community's ability to participate in civil society. Over the next few months, the American Embassy will organize a series of meetings and trainings for a group of Roma NGO representatives focused on the identification of community needs and designing project proposals.  The best proposals that are seen as yielding specific and achievable results will be considered for funding through a micro grant program.
