BIG BLUEGRASS BAND TO TOUR THE COUNTRY JUNE 6-9

Music lovers across Moldova will have the unique opportunity to enjoy American country music when Bob Perilla’s “Big Hillbilly Bluegrass” band tours the country from June 6 to 9.

The internationally-popular music group, invited by the U.S. Embassy and scheduled to arrive in Chisinau on June 5, will perform five concerts across Moldova.  The first concert will take place at the Republican Hall in Tiraspol on Wednesday, June 6, at 6 pm.  The band will then travel to Cahul on Thursday, June 7, for a concert at the House of Culture at 1 pm, followed by a trip to Comrat where they will perform a concert at 6 pm at the local House of Culture.  In Balti, “Big Hillbilly Bluegrass” will perform at the V. Alecsandri National Theater at 6 pm on Friday, June 8.  The concert series will conclude with a grand finale at Chisinau’s Teatrul de Vara at 8 pm on Saturday, June 9.  Entrance to all the band’s concerts is free of charge.

“Big Hillbilly Bluegrass” has been entertaining music fans for over 12 years across three continents.   The band’s wide repertoire of bluegrass, country, folk and popular music helps to convert those who may be unfamiliar with bluegrass music to fans of this unique American art form.
