U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova William Moser and Mrs. Moser visited the city of Cimislia, where the United States completed a $12,000 renovation of the student dormitory at the "Mihai Eminescu" Theoretical Lyceum. Windows and doors were replaced, the electrical system was repaired and upgraded, and a study room was replastered and repainted.
Ambassador Moser congratulated faculty and staff for their dedicated efforts despite the difficult circumstances they face, and he reminded the students, young and old alike, to study well and take advantage of their educational opportunities. Additionally, Ambassador and Mrs. Moser, along with their three children, distributed Christmas gifts to children studying and residing at this school.
Approximately 54 children reside in the dormitory at the "Mihai Eminescu" Theoretical Lyceum. This school serves children from Cimislia and the Cimislia District. Renovation of this school was coordinated by Counterpart International with additional donations from LDS Charities.
