Mr. Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry of the Republic of Moldova,

Dear farmers,

Dear audience!

Someone told me that autumn is the most beautiful season in Moldova because this is the time when harvest is collected and villagers see the results of their work throughout the year. Therefore, I would like to thank you from the very beginning for the possibility to be with you today.

Staying in Moldova I have noticed that Moldovan farmers are very good agriculturalists, skilful and hard working people demonstrating good results.

Success of the Moldovan farmers accounts for the wish of the US Government and the US Agency for International Development to cooperate with the Private Farmers Assistance Program in order to support the farmers through creation and consolidation of this kind of machinery service centers. I am sure that the farmers of the region whose work will become easier and more efficient will deservedly appreciate high quality services that will be provided by this center in future.

Increased profitability of agricultural businesses and grown wellbeing of the farmers and rural population of Moldova are some of the intentions of the United States Agency for International Development.

On this particular occasion, I would like to extend my unreserved admiration of the fruitful cooperation between the Private Farmers Assistance Program, the Agricultural Producers’ Associations and the Ministry of Agriculture. This collaboration is a sign of maturity demonstrating the important role of the agribusiness for the country’s national economy.

I wish you all good success in your work and wonderful autumn yields.
